vibra-technics 2wd gearbox mount

Default vibra-technics 2wd gearbox mount

does anyone have a vibra-technics gearbox mount fitted to there car?as i have just put 1 on my 2wd saff and when am going down the gears there is alot of vibration coming through the floor is this normal?if anyone has this on there car could help or had it would be great

i was advised by Mike R ages ago to use vibra technics engine mounts but leave the gearbox mount STANDARD if you like to keep your fillings in the place

yep, engine mounts only and std g/b mount

edit: ps, would it not have been slightly obvious that you would get some noise/vibration in the car?

the originals are made of rubber for just thos reasons, so when you remove the damping values of rubber and replace it with solid metal, you are going to get the issues that you have

yes of course i know it would have had more vibration in the car but was not sure if it was ment to be the way it is!!dont think i will change back to the
standard one mate as its alot better going into gear and feels better to me after driving them back to back! just have to live wi it thanks for the help

i fitted very solid mounts to an XR2 years ago, was the same... very hard and noisey and did vibrate a lot - but fuck me it was tons better and responsive


I have a full set of vibratechnics waiting to go on mine now
