Default Modifying my sapphire 4x4

Hello,

I'm from belgium and I've just rewarded myself with a original Sierra cosworth 4x4.

Now I want to modify it!!!!!!

What should I do first? I was thinking about a mongoose exhaust?

Somebody some other suggestions?

Hi!
nice reward mate!
Basically, you have an ocean of mods in front of you
A mongoose exhaust and a cone airfilter would be a good start! bearing in mind that it's totally standard!

Default Cone airfilter

That's what I had in mind. I don't know really much about cars. Only what I see on the internet or in fast/performance ford! And that it isn't cheap!
What type of airfilter do you prefer? K&N?

Default modifying my sapphire 4x4

Yes,
K&N would be a good! altough all aftermarket airfilters have good quality.
I use K&N on my cossie. Is it standard? if no you can make a power upgrade too! you can make a stage 1 chip on the standard injectors with no more fuel required. Would be good idea if you if you change the wastegate actuator for a -31 and then raise up the boost to ......... let's say, 1 bar(14.7psi) 18 psi maximun.

Default sapphire 4x4

first thing I would do is get some big brakes on the car 330mm or larger if budget can cope as every one over looks this should always be the first mod on a sapp 4x4

Thx! I'm gonna order a mongoose exhaust in a few weeks and a k&n airfilter. But I'll better take a bigger one, cus I want a little more power next year! Brakes come together with more power!

Yes you wont reget going stg3 IE Chip (form stu) Dark Greens 803's injectors 3 bar map sencor you can run the T3 on that set up but not sure how long it will last (should see 300/330bhp) best going for a T34 tho and a big intercooler (rs500 style) should see a good 350bhp (maybe a little more )

Stu's got a Ebay shop

fair point, largely dependant on the health of the turbo
