Default Autronic SM4 on YBG

Hi guys,
I'd like to know if someone out there has fitted an autronic SM4 ecu on a nasty cossie, cause i have just bought one for my 4wd sapp cossie! and would like to know how your engines are doing! How about performance?
Reliability? keeping in mind that if you have the combination of these two, you must get it mapped my a mapping specialist!
Many thanks
Paul.

Niall.b off here has it as well. Fitted it himself as well. Seems a good system with silly amounts of inputs and outputs on it

It's a very good aftermarket stand alone ECU.

But, if you fit an Autronic system on an YB and you are using the std crank sensor en phase sensor, then you need to take off 2 lugs from the cranksensor....??? Always wondered why

2 lugs from the cranksensor? what does that mean? I read about autronic and find out that it can run reluctor type and hall effect crank sensor without any probs

To all,
how much bhp does your cossie pack? what type of injectors do you run?
Are you running wasted spark? Also, what type of coil pack do use? I heard that the zetec one can produce a very good spark.

I run a zetec coilpack and have had no spark issues.
I run Rc 1000cc injectors.

The engine produces 505 bhp at the wheels, in the car on v power running 2.3 bar of boost.

I mean from the crankpully.....my mistake. And yes of course it can take reluctor or hall sensor.

AFAIK Autronic can't handle the standard sequence of the triggering from an YB, so you take off 2 teeth from the crankpully, and cut off one of the phase tooth so you get one pulse per cam shaft revolution.

Regards,

Bas
