Swirl pots?
Are these any good? I understand what they do, I have one on the sapph, but i've been told by a friend that Norris doesn't recommend them?

Some say they are unecessary, but it's hard to see that they could do any harm, there will always be air created in the cooling system anyway, this just helkps to get rid of it a bit sooner than it having to travel the whole system.

The idea is to remove hot spots in the water which are caused by localised boiling of the water around the cylinder jackets, as this generates air as does the water pump due to cavitation.
