Boost Control
Hi All,
just returned from a rolling road session only to find the boost on my stage 3 2WD Saphirre is tailing off way too early. it peaks nicely then just drops away. I really need to find a better method of boost control.
Names like Turbosmart and Apexi spring to mind but I would welcome some real world experiences/comments of these before I rush out and spend my hard earnt!
Anyone have any idea's?
CheeRS, Mike.

As above really there is no real reason a actuator wont be up to the job. But if you want a boost controller there are loads out there.
ie here are a few and iv added some rough prices too
Blitz SBC i - Colour Boost Controller £385
Apexi A AVC-R £245
Greddy Profec E-01 Boost Controller £340
Blitz Dual SBC Spec - R Boost Controller £315
Greddy Profec B Spec 2 Boost Controller £230
Greddy Profec Type - S Boost Controller £216.50

I had exactly the same problem when I put my 3dr on the dyno. Boost peaked at 21psi (Even though my Speco gauge was saying 26psi! Since binned!) and flattening out to 12psi. The boost curve looked like something out of the Jack & Jill nursery rhyme... "And the boost came tumbling after"
I did the homework and although not a cheap option I purchased a Apexi AVC-R. I havent had the car back on the dyno yet but the real time graph displayed on the AVC-R shows the boost hits 26psi and SAYS THERE SOLID!!
Not cheap, but do it right, do it once!
Looks smart too!
