There is a quite loud strange rattle on my 4x4 saph. It increases with engine speed and I can't work out where its coming from. It seems to be low down somewhere as it doesn't seem to be from the top of the engine. It sounds like a timing chain which wouldn't be problem I guess if the YB had one!

It does it on idle out of gear and also when driving.

Bit vauge I know but any common probs that might be causing this?

might be springs on the plate

my previous 4by saph did this, was loud tinny rattling noise

Sounds just like that. I did wonder if it was something to do with the clutch. Any idea what causes this?

Press the clutch and see if it goes
