I find it hard to beleive that ford put a coil on a cossie that would fire a 1.1mm gap, you are very lucky if it does this, they really are crap normally.
0.6mm to ensure decent/reliable spark, plus a group a coil would be a wise move.
I once set my gaps to the ford spec to see what would happen, made a MASSIVE difference, it coughed occasionally but would not start!!

Mine are set at 1mm at the moment and I've just fitted a Group A coil last night. That seems to have cured the slight misfire I had but I'll drop the gap size to 0.6m to see if that improves performance.
Thanks for your help.

Theoretically yes, but ive heard my mate used them on his stage 1 saff and it didnt really like the plugs, i.e. kept blowing the spark out or summin, so he's got denzo's in there
im gonna be using 12PP's when i go about stage 3 and see what results i get, if not, then ill get some platinum jobbies

AGPR12PP +8, are way way too HOT for a stage three, they WILL melt, and drop bits of plug into your engine.
071 can be used safely, or better still is IK31, I use a 0.6mm gap but am experimenting, a group a coil is a must even on a std cossie, as the ford one normally is so crap.
It is better to have a smaller gap than NO spark, that is what I say.
