What are you one about? Blues are exactly the same as 2wd yellows the only difference is the colour.

The reason for the change was when the cars were new it said in the service manual change everything Yellow. Thick cunt Ford Mechanics changed the injectors! Thats what i have been told by quite a few people anyway.

It is a load of bollocks, "change everything yellow", can't believe anyone is stupid enough to listen to this crap, let alone believe it.
Blues are defintitely NOT THE SAME AS YELLOWS the flow rate is totally different.
Yellows will flow to around 285, blues to around 390.
This is assuming a DC of around 85/90%.
The blues came in due to a software change in the ecu used on the cars so fitted with them, and is probably more to do with ford getting a bulk deal on these particular ones.

Did they ever change the dipstick lol?

So, would a straight swap of injectors as mentioned above give a performance increase, or is it the placebo affect?

The injector only opens as and when told to by the ecu/chip.
Therefore all you will do is overfuel if you put in a larger flowing injector, it will go richer , may give a little more power but also a massive amount of engine wear, as it will be rich all the time, even when not on boost.
You absolutely must use the correct chip for the spec of the engine including the injectors, as it has been written with these in mind, to get you the best compromise between performance and mpg/emissions etc.
So no not good idea just use the correct ones for the chip.

so standard 4x4 dark blue injectors r good for 390bhp???if thats the case why do people go for either greys or light blues for this power if the dark blues do the job?

The factory fitted dark blues fitted to the 4x4 flow pretty much the same as the factory fitted yellows fitted to the 2wd.
