cheers i will have to take turbo off thinking of bringing car off road for a few weeks anyway as i dont like the smoke i am getting i know the bottom end compression is fine. wworried about the head now and turbo.... as when i had bottom end re built i just replaced stem seal and re seated the valve but no harm in stripping it off or at least having the head and cylinder compression done....

Oil
i would check inside your boost hoses and see if there is any trace of oil, while the intake pipe where it fits compressor housing is off check for any excess play in shaft that should tell you if its your turbo
