Default sapphire 2wd.. which actuator ?

my car is as 2wd sapphire cossie spec follows..

205 block. fully re built 10k ago. it has low comp mahle pistons. hp oil pump. lightened and balanced. group a gasket. 3 bar map sensor. 803 greens. group a coil. level 8 ecu with stage 3 chip. t3 turbo hybrid with a standard actuator. running at 20 psi.

just cross looped and 4x4 tps today..

now looking at actuator which one for the above spec do i get a -31 or get a -34 in case i buy a new turbo at a later date if i do go for a bigger turbo it will most defo be a garrett gt35..

so question remains which actuator for now will a -34 work ok with the above setup or should i go for a -31 as i want to take it to msd for mapping

any help asap as i wanna purchase online tonight

I think you can use either mate - think a -31 min boost is 14psi, not sure what the -34 is. Mate used a -34 on a 4x4 running greys, MSD closed loop chip, 500 cooler and t34 with .63 housing no bother.

Only thing i've ever heard said about hte -34 is it so strong it can beak the arm off the turbo. No idea if thats true or not.

Actuators by thier nature do not have a minimum boost, they each have a range that covers different amounts.
A -31 will be fine, if in good order, a -34 is a stronger version of it, but will not snap arms off turbo's, it just has the potential to allow more boost when set that way than the -31.

if you are running stus chip from msd ,he should have advised what actuator to run as the maps are potentially different....

JTECHSAFF hows that ???

the actuator controls boost level, if -31 or -34 are set at 20psi, what differance does that make to the mapping ??????
