Saff cossie 4x4 front driveshaft
How easy is it to change the osf drive shaft on a cossie. Or does anyone know if the cv joint with the abs pick up ring attached, are they still been made.

are you just changing the shaft?
pop the bottom ball joint
twist the wheel to the side so you can get to the cv boot
remove boot
look for the circlip indie the outer cv joint
split the clip
pull the shaft out of the joint
remvoe the rest of the shaft, incuding inner cv from the sump/diff epending on which one you are swapping over
remove boot from inner
remove cv
remove clips that hold teh inner tripod in place
swap over to the new shaft
fit back tgeter again
job done
if you are going to do the outer cv replacement then it's a bit more tricky as it's best to at least inspect teh bearings and possibly change them at the same time, but it's a basatard of a job, not to mention the mess cv grease leaves on anything it gets into contact with
the abs pick up in a little bit of the outer cv and not a seperate ring as in the 2wd versions
