Default 2wd cos exhaust heat wrap amount

Going to heat wrap my front pipe just asking does anyone know roughly how much I will need, to do this.

I just did the down pipe and used about 15m,don't forget to wet the wrap before wrapping it

Does this reduce the life of the downpipe and maifold due to the heat retention ?
Thought about doing it myself but some say that the retained heat destroys parts.

15Metres, blimey did not think it would be that much!!
Have to order more than I thought.
The heat on the down pipe will have no effect on life of the pipe, especially if SS,

It was a little bit less,let's say 13-14m width 5cm.

Not much apart from the smell of it in the first 100km
I don't think charge temperatures will drop much,i did it mostly to protect things from heat

I did this on my old s2 and swear the turbo spooled up a bit quicker .

I used a 15m roll on my front pipe and I was very slightly too short...treid re-wrapping it a few times as well. Suppose its just down to how much you over lap. Made a fair bit of difference in engine bay temps...gonna do the whole exhaust especialy where it runs between the gearbox and floor.

i`m going to do the down pipe on my sapph purely to help keep heat away from the steering rack coupling
