PAS on a Cossie is it self bleeding & is it AT fluid

Default PAS on a Cossie is it self bleeding & is it AT fluid

Just renewing the pipe from reservoir to pump as a precaution because it looks like its on its last legs,it was a non standard bit of hose that had blown up like a Johnny not suitable for oil. Will the system bleed itself with the engine running & cap off the reservoir & do i use normal ATF fluid,same as 2wd gearbox stuff. Its a 4x4 saph.

just go from lock to lock a few times
and its atf that you top it up with

Jack up the car and take the cap off,turn steering from side to side to get some air out,and yeah at fluid m8.

i filled mine with slick 50 power steering fluid..

I just turned mine through lock to lock 3 times and it is all ok, new pipe on mine too, but end of return pipe is damp!!

The leak is the return pipe, not even really a leak just damp, but going to make some new braided pipes for it anyway.
