ive nearly finished a cosworth engine management conversion on my rst and i wanted to no what the purple relay/holder was for and if the car would run without it?

also im going to be using a l8 with pf09 tps but i have no idea if the loom has been converted for the pf09 in the past as ive got it now the red wire is on the left had side of the sensor is this correct?

I think you will find the purple is the FUEL PUMP relay, so you need it.
If the loom was from a 2wd, it will need converting for L8 ECU/TPS.
I have just looked on my wiring dia but it is not clear as it shows just the wires going to the TPS being in the same position which of course they are not buit it is just a generic picture.

purple relay holder is for a dash mounted warning light - only fitted to the early looms, and the engine will run fine without it
