Are genuine Ford mudflaps still available? Does anyone know the part number for the full set?

Default ford mudflaps

They maybe available as when I went to my local dealer a few weeks ago they said there was 8 different sets listed for the rear of a sapphire cossie.I ended up with a universal set with the small ford signature on them. The original ones are the old type like mk4 escorts etc with a large ford emblem stamped into the mudflap towards the bottom.
I ended up taking mine back as they were crap universal things.
My local dealer didn't have a clue, was totally useless.
I will give the Ford RS dealership a ring tomorrow which is about 20 miles away from me.I should have done this before as my local dealer is crap and have no idea about cossie parts.
If anyone has the finis code for front and rear mudflaps can they let me know.
Cheers.Lee.

Default SAPPHIRE COSWORTH MUDFLAPS

I telephoned the nearest Ford RS Dealership today and they were quite helpful but I was told there were a few part numbers for the rear but they were all superceeded by one part number which were universal ones and the front again is only a universal mudflap. In other words don't waste your money as they are crap.As I said I took mine back 2 the local dealership.Try going to RS Owners club national day u maybe lucky 2 get something there.Sorry but can't help u any further.
Unless somebody else knows of any which are available somewhere, please reply if u do.
Thanks.Lee.

YES THEY DID HAVE A PART NUMBER BUT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY WERE UNIVERSAL ONES ONLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS CAR.SINCE I HAD ALREADY HAD A UNIVERSAL SET AND TOOK THEM BACK THERE WAS NO POINT IN GETTING A PART NUMBER FOR THEM AS THE UNIVERSAL ONES ARE USELESS.

Well I have spoken to one RS Dealership and one local Ford Dealership and they both said only universal ones now available for both front and rear.
Do urs have the large ford oval stamped into the bottom cente part of the mudflap or the smaller Ford imprint?
If u got the receipt for them could u check for the part number by any chance please?Maybe they have stopped producing them since u purchased urs last year?Who knows????
Please let me know.
Thankyou.Lee.

5016700 used to be the number for the rear ones and 5018610 fits as they are used on the MK4 Escort and do not have the outer lip, allowing fitment with sideskirts.

Thankyou for the part numbers.I will tel. the RS Dealership again with the part numbers 2 see what they have 2 say.I will let you know.
Funnily enough a fella who lives local has mk4 escort ones on the front and they fit just fine.I picked up a set of MK4 escort rear ones at Ford Fair and was told they will fit the front but the lip would need 2 be trimmed off them.I'm gonna keep these as they r brand new in the packet,I know I could sell them easily to an escort rs turbo owner as these are hard to get hold of aswell I understand,if I no longer require them.I am still determind to track down a front and rear set for the sap.
I will phone tomorrow and let u know what happens.
Thanks.Lee.

If having trouble, tell them to check on EDIS and do an international search. Any decent dealer should be able to do that.

If you get stuck, I might have a spare set of rear ones (used) in one of the garages.

BTW: All Sierra rear ones will fit, including estate. The main difference is the bracket that holds it to the bodywork.
