Strange fan problem??
My rad fans on my 4x4 stayed on the other day after the engine was off and cool. I disconnected the fan switch to stop them.
Now after replacing the fan switch twice the fans will not operate when hitting the correct temp.
However if i bridge the fan connector the fans operate fine. This is where it gets strange I can remove the fans fuse and one fan still operates but the other stops??
I am very confused?????

NO the wire certainly should NOT be there like that.
I can't see what is powering one fan and not the other as they are on a single circuit on my cossie and thought they were on all of them.
I rewired mine anyway, as the ford system is so unreliable.
What numbers does it show on the pins on th relay, I will look them up and see what it powers, but looks too extravagent for a fan relay which is a simple switching relay.
I will also have a look in my fusebox today at mine.
The reason I asked about air con is because on a lot one fan runs all the time the air con is on, and yours seem to be seperate.
The fan symbol in the fusebox applies to the heater blower fan .

I better go through my fuses to find the fuse for the rad fans then.
I have just ordered a new fan loom from ryan so should be far better, once thats in.
