Default Same oil pressure switch??

Hi guys,
Is the oil pressure switch on a Cossie the same as the one on a 2lt SOHC Pinto block?
Here in Australia 2lt SOHC's are everywhere. A lot easier to find than a YB!
Oh.. and yes I snapped the original one taking it off

Cheers

You could check the part number with fords, to see if it is the same part on both engines ?
I would hazard a GUESS it will be but don't know.

Thanks guys! I will check it out. I can get my hands on a SOHC switch no worries.

Thanks again

Ok. Purchased a 2lt switch. Checked the thread against the old one and it is fine as mentioned. The 2lt switch is a 32psi jobbie.... I have put it on to fill the hole. This should be fine yer? Just means I will get the light on a little earlier thats all. I have another gauge in the dash any who so I can watch it there too.

Thanks again guys!!

I would be surprised if the oe switch for the warning light was anything like 32psi.

Hmmm... The only marking on the switch is a 032. The number on the Cossie on is 025. I just assumed it was a presure rating. I wonder what it could be then.

I snapped mine marked 30-50Kpa and the local motor factors matched it up for me with a 6psi one (from a falcon I think it was)
