anyone
i just want a list of options for parts and prices used when doing the headgasket, so that if it comes down to it, the garage wont rip me off with parts prices + vat + their own private tax/cut crap on top

just read the other thread and a few people have told you what the gasket prices are, roughly 55 quid for the headgasket and say 30 for everything else...rocker cover gasket and cam seals I think.....so budget 100 quid for parts....then hower many hours it says on autodata (garages use this to work out labour hours for each job)...
So if its a 3 hour job it'll be...
100 quid gaskets
3x (labour rate)
Then vat on labour....
I dont know how many hours labour you should be paying....best bet is to get a quote from somewhere and ask them how many hours labour theyre charging you in that quote. then post it back up so people can give advice on that
