haven't got a picture, and it's not easy to describe, but they won't come off without damaging either the wheel, the cap or the lock

opposite the lock, there is a tab on the cap that goes under a lip in the wheel. the lock then does a similar thing on the other side. best wait for someone to post pics - mine is in germany so can't

not to sure as never tried to remove 3dr centre caps before but from an engineering angle you could try by inserting a key then instead of trying to turn the lock with the key which will onlylead to as you know the key snapping you could instead try tapping the lock round with a sharp pointed centre punch though it will mark and put a groove in the lock face, not garenteed to work though but is often successful due to the impact factor

Did you buy the car off someone who'd had it stored for the 3 years then?
