Default Modify or not?

On one of my recent 'drool' searches on the net I found a mint 90k Radiant Red Sapphire 4x4 which was apparently one of only 12 ever done in that colour and more recently found an absolutely immaculate black Sapphire 4x4 with supposedly only 13k on the clock. So if either was yours would you modify as much as you wanted or could afford - or would you leave it standard? Also would you drive it like you stole it or pamper it to death ???
