spec-r oil catch tank
i've just got s/hand oil catch tank but how do i plum it in and what piping do i need? i already have a (bailey) breather system fitted any help would be great thanks graham

The return pipe 5 goes in where the the bit of tissue is sticking out in this pic... the right side bit at the bottom middle - it then feeds back into the sump - you may need to remove the blank nut and get one with a suitable pipe on it though... should be there for your Bailey system.
You may have an extra pipe on the top of the rocker that also feeds into the catch tank. The pipe at the top of the tank in the diagram breaths to the air and sometimes sticks out of the bottom of the tank instead... sorry but someone else probably knows the spec R stuff/ layout and can be more specific for you. You may be talking about the big one that mirrors the water one and I'm wasting your time

sorry fella but yes the catch tank i have mirrors the header tank, the breather tank has a feed from the cam cover an a couple of other pipes not sure where they attach without looking, i didn't explian it very well

yeah - thought I might have got that wrong mate - sorry. The principal has to be the same though - any catch tank is simply allowing the atomspheric pressure in the crank case to vent to the catch tank - seperate it - and let any mist / oil find its way back into the sump.
