Default Dizzyless cossie, rev counter problems

Has anyone worked out how to get the revcounter to work properly after switching to a coil pack and twin ign amp's?? As it is, it just reads half. Its an 89 saph and no-one seems to know.
Ive tried taking feeds from both ign amps and dioded them but then its just erratic.

Any ideas would be greatfuly recieved, unless they're daft

Isn't there a resistor or something that has to be taken out of the green wire? Or some patch to do on the back of the counter?

Sorry I can't be more specific - just repeating what I think I've read on here about it.

These a green wire that needs connecting in the engine bay that came of the coil (I think) and there is also a patch that can be done to the back of the clocks. I can't find the instructions I got with mine at the mo so I'm jsut taking this from memory. Mines an 89 and it didn't need the patch on the back of the clocks.

i put in all the bits myself and got most of the parts from Oddkidd creations but they dont really know how to solve the problem.

The green wire at the back of the clocks comes from the ignition amp and went to the old coil (i think) and now goes to the new coilpack. Now ive added a second ign amp, i took the same wire from that and put that to the clocks too but it just went mental.

If u could dig out the old instructions Dave i'd be very greatful (or have a look under the bonnet to see what you needed to do)

Cheers,

Paul

Whats driving the coils? A wasted spark driver? A P8?

Give us more info and we can help.
