Default is this an rs 500 intercooler(pics)

and are they any good? and how much are they new? ill be fitting it under my radiator on my mk5 van thats fitted with an rs turbo engine thats running 1 bar boost

looks like a standard 2wd cossy intercooler to me

An RS500 or RS500 style intercooler is massive, bigger than your radiator, you'd know if you had an RS500 cooler - and the one in the pic certainly ain't one!

As said standard 2wd intercooler.
The RS500 type is easy to identify as said it is BIGGER than the main rad, and bolts onto the chassis rails just like the main rad does, in front of it, then the two inlet outlet pipes point out above the main rad, and are about 8/9" long.

thanks guys, it was in the back of an old van i braught, theres also some 4 pot calipers and discs, i have no idear if they will fit my mk 5 van yet

That cooler would be fine for 1 bar of boost any more than that i would recommend the 4x4 cos version,these can be identified bt havin a straight dump valve take off...

As for the brakes it can be done with some brackets to suit

Might as well use the calipers as so much better than std single piston ones.

yes i think i will use them, ill proble have to make a brackets to make them fit, unles someone like burton or someone makes them

Offer them up with 4x4 cossie discs 273mmx24mm, and I think you will find they go straight on, just need to tap the lug hole, which conveniently is already the right size!!
