Apparently the aftermarket lower wishbones on my 4x4 Saff are too long, and that's what's causing my F/OS wheel to rub on the sping platform of the Koni shock on hard left cornering.

Does anyone know anything about lower wishbones, length differences - aftermarket/4x4/RWD etc.

the length of the TCA will not have any effect on clearance between the tyre and the spring seat - either the wheels are the wrong offset, or your wheel bearing is loose, or the strut/hub carrier is bent

I'll take a photo when I get a moment, but if I was to say that the camber of the front wheels looks WAY wrong, ie. the front wheels lean inwards visibly at the top compared to the rears, would that make sense??

I would say that the wheel bearing is on it's way out/gone - OR the nut has come loose. That would allow the wheel to do that!!


Jack it up and give the wheel a shake

I've had both wheel bearings replaced recently.

sounds like you've got one from a granada
they are iirc 12mm longer than the sierra ones
if the camber is out then that would be the first port of call

also, assuming you've got cossie ones in there, there is also the issue of the cossie useing M12 bolts rather than the M10's of the other versions so if you had the other ones fitted you've have to swap the buhes over in the first palce

looks like the offset of the rims is wrong, they seem to be way to far in compared to normal rims

what you want to do is take a pic from ground level, preferable from below the fog light level to sow the camber differences between front and rear wheels
