If I switch a headcylinder with 8v from sierra with an 16v headcylinder from Mondeo(same engine block), will i need other ECU? Is timing the same? Will injectors time of apperture modify(i mean it needs to be modified)?

If you switch any head from 8 valve to 16 valve ALL the characteristics such as FUELLING and TIMING change, due to the fact that the air speed has changed and therfore the cylinder filling.

the 14 engine was found in 8v form in 2 litre sierras/granadas and 16v in the RS 2000, and then in the later granada scorpio in 2 litre and 2.3, and later still in the Galaxy as a 2.3....
