I have recently fitted a stage 2 T3 from turbo technics, it is basically a 360 deg bearing unit with a 60 trim wheel on the compressor side, It is a lot noisier when coming on boost than my old standard T3 is this normal due to the bigger wheel, it sounds good, but is very loud. My car is running a gunship so is boosting up to about 24psi, although I have not used full boost as waiting to get it checked over and set up. The only mods I have on the induction is a RS500 airbox lid and hose with the T3 inlet sleeved to bigger diameter and a k&n filter, although this was already done on the old one.

With the mods there is a VERY noticable increase in noise, T4 sound like jet fighters!!

i had a t3 on my car i now have a t3/t4 and my car does sound like a jet fighter. nothing to worry about mate.
i used to have a 3 door running 8 greens and a proper t4 running 28psi and the sound of that was awesome!
