my dopey m8 has just washed his engine with a jet wash with the engine switched off flooding everything in site after many hours of drying we managed to start it but now it strugles to after 5000rpm spluttering and allsorts! any ideas? all info much apriciated many thanks

You could try going round the entire engine bay unplugging each sensor plug one at a time cleaning them and try spraying electrical grease into them before plugging them back together this should help the electrical connection and prevent the ingress of water again.
Hope this helps

P.S. if it is a 4x4 dont forget the two big multiplugs at the back of the bay.

You could also dry out the inside of the dizzy cap!!

Dizzy cap may be cracked which causes the current to arc accross the points therefor getting a miss fire!
