rs 500 owners
went to the garage today to start my car and the oil pressure light stayed on?have checked for faulty sender and it is fine. removed oil filter and started engine, and no oil was comeing through? was thinking it might be a oil pump? but last time i used it was fine but that was around six months ago? it has been stood since any ideas?

If no oil coming through to filter postion, sump will have to come off to see if the strainer is blocked, nbever heard of one going like this though, best of luck.

My mates escort just did this.
He started it to get it out the garage and no oil presure.
He pulled the engine out just to find it was the oil pump drive bar sheared.
Something he could of done by removing the dissy.

Oil pump drive sheared!!, that is bad does not bear thinking about does it ?, bloody fords, pain in the rectum at times, still better to find out than risk the engine.
