Default TURBO HEATSHEILD

Took the turbo heatshield off of my 2wd saff cos i broke it when i lent on it put it on the floor in my garage gone to repair it now cossy is on the road for summer and realised my dog has chewed it up.I know i can buy a new one for £65 but dont want a standard one again in case i break it .Cant afford a shiny bling one at the mo so basically is it safe to run the car without it.CHEERS

I would not have thought flames pouring out onto wiring loom would be a problem!!, thought you had invented a new BBQ.
I ran my car for two years without a shield, does cook clutch cable and eventually knacker it though.

it will eventually fry all the wiring that runs down the inner wing, will also warm up the brake fluid more than it perhaps should do! I would not use the car in anger without the heat shield

Its a complete NO NO, i wouldnt drive my car more than 5 mile without, seen alot of bad pictures from people on here ( not sure who ) where the whole looms melted, can also set the car on fire

Pay the £65 and get it sorted before it ends up costing you more
