Default rear wheel bearings (2wd)

as above i have both bearing housing off and need to fit new bearings,but how easy is it to get olds 1s out? does any 1 have any tips on this please cos they r drivin me mad not bein able to get them out , thanks andy.

Which bits can't you get out?????????

If its the part that you have to push into hub you knock them out with a punch or something like that

Hard to explain,but it is easy aslong as you have got a vice and a good punch

Alternate which side you hit it on though,so they come out square

cheers kev, the part i mean is the outer radial oil seal,outer taper roller bearing an the same on the inner bearing housing.

Oil seals just lever out

Bearing will then drop out

Then you need to knock out the old bearing seat/race which is left in the hub with a good punch

As cos kev says they are easy to do, keep OLD inner race though as can be used to push NEW one in, with vice or socket etc.
Use grease supplied ?, unless sealed ones.
Make sure they are 100% SQUARE in the hub, don't forget to torque up afterwards.

got it sorted now,jst took them to my local garage to press them out an put the new 1s in,also got them to press my rear beam bushes in 2
which is now on the car

I feel for you mate, it's hard enough working on cars with a garage, I do feel for people that don't have one, they do bloody well IMO.
