Default tubular manifold prob - any ideas please?

Hi,

I have been trying to fit a tubular manifold to my rs500 that I got from ebay - from xs power. They are being really good and offering a refund as neither one that they have sent down fits - it extends down too low and hits the engine mount. Is there some big difference between the 205 block and my rs500 one that I am missing? I know about the block thickness but have had the same prob with a spare 205 lump that I tried it on.

Here's the pics - I really wanted it to fit!!

Looks very long as well.....looks like it would foul your o/s inner wing also? The blocks are dimensionaly the same in the respect of your question. Looking at the distance between the top of the intermediate/trousers section and the head it looks like the whole manifold has been made to long imo....looks like your turbo would sit quite far from the head.

Standard one back on - waiting for my refund - had two to try and none fitted unfortunately.
Still, with a T4 on there its a lot to hold anyway

Cos i'm impatient

just decided to spend my money making the car handle really....420bhp is enough for a road car in truth so i thought i'd make it grip too

the manifold is just rough as fuck inside, it's has pockets that would catch the gases creating so much heat

lol yep, turbo XS typical. they sell alot of crap on trademe over here like ebay, they are pretty much the lower budget of after market parts.
mate of mine brought one of their T04e turbos for his skyline it lasted
bout 1 month before it gave up the ghost lol. lmao think they would
have made up a jig or something off the std manifold before pumping
out a whole lot of unusable manifolds, wonder how many they made
before they relised they have fucked up.
