i wouldn't want to run a motorsport chip on the road - will probably overfuel nearly everywhere

a good chip from a reliable tuner is not very expensive. get one with closed loop fuelling and you will save the cost of the chip from fuel saving, less oil changes, longer life from spark plugs etc, etc

shanemc do a search

basically 'closed loop' control means that the ecu does something, measures the output of what it's done to see if it was right, and makes any corrections for the next time it does it.

when applied to fuelling, without it a certain amount of fuel would be injected according to the map. that may be rich or lean or spot on. but with closed loop, it will start with that amount from the map, measure the result of the combustion with the lambda sensor, and adjust it as necessary to get it spot on

the benefit is a clean burn that creates less emmissions and deposits in the engine, and less fuel consumption.

hope that helps
