Default Brakes

Just fitted some recon front calipers, and am now having trouble with the brakes workin correctly. Ive bled them about 6 times each side and is no air in at all now but the pedal is crap. It travels half way down and then they bite, if you try and stop hard it pulls to the right and then slows. any ideas cos im beat.
