Cheese wire or guitar string, wrapped around a small round stick(cut down broom handle), at each end to pull behind strip through adhesive.
Rear window, push in corner outwards pressure using a plastic ruler to prise out from rubber, take your time, the glass is much stronger than you people think.

ps unless you want to pay bodyshop they will just get window fitter in to do it but their risk then.

Thread also works, you can do it just like tabetha says with thread also. It may snap a few times but double it over and it's very effective. Taken many strips and badges off cars the same way. The adhesive it leaves behind is a bastard to remove and unless you have a heat gun or hairdryer which gets really hot you'll be on for ages! I'd not do it in this weather without a heat gun!
