standard settings mate, 90foot pounds in stages.
welseal around the gasket, stops oil leaking which can sometimes happen
on multi shim gaskets.

Strictly speaking, this is not the correct method for torquing down a head.

According to the manual :

1. use a little oil on the underside of the bolt heads and a bit on the threads
2. torque to 45-50 Nm
3. tighten a further 180 degrees
4. check that when a torque of 110Nm is applied that none of the bolts move

There are variations of the "correct" method above, but the most important thing with fitting a cometic gasket is that the head needs to be flat (ie skimmed), as does the block (which isn't good enough if it hasn't been decked).

if the block has been decked (NOT just checked) and the head skimmed, then nothing else should be needed

If it is the newer COMETIC it will have sealing edges around the oil holes as standard anyway, and they do seal properly the new ones, the old ones did let oil out very often.
The SINGLE PIECE METAL ONE IS ACE, from VICTOR REINZ, ie oe kit maker to LAMBO, FERRARI< ASTON MARTIN etc etc.

Yes should be the new one from them as they have a high turnover and old ones are probably long sold by now.
