Basicaly plugs straight in with no software mods needed...use what ever leads you want..may as well go for the ford motorsport leads as they are quite cheap tbh.

Does any1 know why its called a grp A coil, cos as far as I'm aware grpA cars didnt use them?

Group a cars, I am not sure about, but one thing is certain they did not use the crap coil(bosch)that ford stuck on the road cars.
The group a coil uses the standard lead connectors that connect to normal dizzy cap.
You will need to snip end of LT terminals off as they are different, being a round terminals on original coil as opposed to spade terminals on group a coils.
They mount in standard place using standard original holes so no drilling needed, they have elongated holes for mounting.
Dizzy stays where it is as it is used just the coil changed, nothing to do with COILPACK, which is DISTRIBUTORLESS IGINTION, utilising WASTED SPARK, which does need ECM(ECU) mods to run.
I fitted a group a coil with the standard leads(MAGNECOR), well worth the money, best £32 I have spent on car easily.
Had 909 leads on to start but had problems changed and problem gone away with MAGNECORS.
Much much smoother better idle by a long way no more misfires, better bottom end pull.
The original ford coil(bosch) is crap weedy as hell.
The group a coil is in fact a LANCIA PART first and foremost and was never designed for the cossie, as it existed well before cossie did.
