Got the Saph back and got nabbed by speed camera!! Arrgh!
Picked it up at 3.00, but as I was going there I was caught by a van on the A1, doing 60 in a 50 part they sectioned off for roadworks.
Guy was in the back of the van so I guess I'm going to get 3 points, great. Just about to get the other 3 off and was looking forward to clean licence again
Fuckin' bastards I can't believe I didn't see it!

Fucking bastards, there's no arguing with them, just the brown envelope with the fine and the points.
Irony is I'm the slowest driver out, I just didn't think about there being a camera up the A1 when I'm doing 60.
But either way the car's back

You can mount a defence which is over 90% successful.
You plead GUILTY by post to NIP sent to you.
You then point out in a letter SECTION 182 of PACE has not been adhered to and the JP will almost defintiely throw it out, that's if the POLICE/CPS go ahead after this, most don't.
Section 182 of POLICE AND CRIMINAL EVIDENCE, act states that you must be CAUTIONED BEFORE BEING ASKED FOR A COMMENT.
This must be done in person by a POLICE OFFICER to the allegation of speeding, as this is not done it breaches their own rules.
SPEEDCAMS are also supposed to not be PRIMA FASCIA, evidence ie there must be a suspicion of speeding first, which in basic law means certain distances/criteria have to be met, do some research and you may well get off.

Can't guarantee 100% accuracy but won't swear to it either.
At least it gets the mesasage across, so there is hope.

ps MCN did a lot of features on this exact thing.
