2wd and 4wd inlet cams!!

No they are the same.
The easy way is to look at front around THERMOSTAT HOUSING, 2wd TWO BOLTS, 4wd THREE BOLTS.
Pretty sure that is right, also 2wd have boss on side for turbo damper 4wd does not.

I thought that the cams were different at the nose end where the front bearing fits ?
It was only the early 2wd heads that had 2 thermostat housing fixing bolts - later 2wd heads have 3 bolts as per 4x4.
2wd head has the water temp sender at the front of the driver's side, on a 4x4 head it is at the back od the passenger's side
