Default battery wires help

just put a rebuilt motor in my 3dr and cant remember where the wires go on the battery its been out a while
im sure that there was more than one on the -ve but not sure as all the others are red
plus its hicking and farting and didnt want to start replacing stuff untill i knew the wires were ok

please help

There are some BLACK wires that go to the POSITIVE, the wire colour inside the sheathing is red but this can catch people out as they put a red wire on a black, so have a good look!!

thanks but it was the negetive i was woried about
is there more than just one earth lead that goes on it

Im sure its just 1 it will go to the gearbox and also to the battery tray from whot i can rember

Just one TERMINAL but has a large lead coming off to engine and a smaller one going to battery tray area.

thanx must have it right but why wont it rev?
its like a flat spot about 2000 then the revs drop realy fast and it dies BUGGER

Can answer this one and will be 99% sure it will be the PHASE SENSOR in the Dizzy remove you dizzy cap and the plastic dust cover(if fitted still) and have a look @ the wires in there the outer covering just melts away over time

they end up arcking out corsing the engine not to run MINE did this i could rev it up drop the clutch and it would just cut out

Also changed my m8s as that had a missfire and was coused by the same sensor

Stu sells them i got mine off him
I'll have a look on his Ebay shop and get link for you looking @ around £23;00 plus p&p
