Default Wheel balancing problem!

Just fitted some 17" wheels to my Sapphire 4x4 and the place I bought the wheels balanced them, they seem to be all to pot. Car's fine til about 45mph then it's juddery and just feels wrong.

I don't want to take it to a place where they just jack the car up badly since she's 15 yrs old! Can I get the wheels balanced on the car at all?

I've heard the the wheels can be balanced while on the car as they balance them with the disks etc. Where abouts are you as the place that does them are in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Northumberland, so Barnsley is a bit of shank lol

Got them re-balanced today, were a mile off, 25 one side and 17 the other, car drives loads better. Also found out it needs anti roll bar bushes so that won't help!

I can't believe how many either. It's not rocket science, I used to do it 10 or so years back and made sure I did each wheel 3 times to get a mean average. I think it's just down to lazy fuckers who don't care!
