Default Insurance - any good deals out there?

Just had my renewal through from Boncaster at just over £600 - not a bad price for a stage 2 modded Sapphire as a daily driver - but wondered if anyone had come across anything better recently?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Kevin

I'm an old fart (38), with similar no claims to you. I think I was quoted about £350 for a standard car when I checked last year.

Sometimes being old isn't so bad I guess...

Policy Shop are good, they will insure you under a classic insurance policy if you're over 30. Think it is like for like if anything is ever stolen too.

It pays to phone around though. I ended up more than halving my renewal quote from Adrian Flux. I've been with them for years, they always beat the cheapest quote you get. I'm 29 with 11 years no claims and paying £465 limited mileage - all mods declared.

That was very interesting, Insurance rates here in Ireland are regarded as expensive and vary so much. I'm 28 with 8 years no claims paying 998 euro for fully comp on a stage two declared. My friend is a year older with the same no claims, his insurance company would'nt cover him on a jap import integra type R cos its a "high performance car" but quoted him no problem on a Irish Scooby WRX???

Hi Smit.

If you get 5 mins PM me the quote reference, or your name & postcode.

I'd be happy to review the underwriting notes & check into this for you.

Kind regards

Tony
