Coolant temp. sensor......volts?
Hi
Can anyone tell me how many volts you can measure on the coolant temp. sensor at a given watertemperature, ex. 90 degrees (workingtemp.)?
I need to check if my coolant temp. sensor is working, as my idling is very bad, so I believe that it could be the coolant temp. sensor that is causing the problem (ISCV etc. is ok and there doesn't seem to be a leak).
Thanks!

Hi
Not sure on volts readings
Goin by tests in the cosworth tech manual you measure the resistance across the sensor in ohms,my m8 has got my tech manual at the minute so can't tell you the figures sorry
But can remember the resistance should go down as the engine/coolant warms up
Just remembered about this :

Print it off,very useful
