Right.....

The time has finally come that I may have to say goodbye to my long term pride and joy due to the shell being crap. My circumstances have changed and I will soon need a sensible car with a dry interior . Yesterday I was adament I'm keeping it, buy a bonus and swap over all the parts... today I'm putting this post up hence I'm still not 100% sure if I'm doing the right thing. I thought if I gauge the interest for parts it will help make up my mind.

I bought the car Aug05 and my ownership history is detailed in my rebuild thread: The car is genuine with a ring binder full of history and reciepts. I would much prefer to sell it onto a new home but everyone knows you get more money back breaking.

http://passionford.com/forum/restorations-rebuilds-and-projects/169971-black-s2-zetecturbo-mapped-friday-6th-june.html

The build has done no more than 1000miles in total. It is perfect for someone with a nice straight shell who wants a top spec'd rs.

I've made an items list below with some prices I would be happy to let them go for.

Thanks everyone for the interest, please bear with me as I'm not the quickest person at replying to pm's. I have put more detail in the list if you have asked questions i.e clutch kit mileage etc

I have updated the parts list above with the individuals who will have first refusal on the parts when the car is broken.

The current interest in parts is upto 1900ish so not far to go until I decide to break. Please remember the larger items will be pick up only and I have decided to send the smaller items to uk only.

Regards
Dan

Sorry but I'll not be posting doorcards to devon.

Any postage costs will be paid by the buyer unless I offer postage as a sweetener on items more than £250.
I'd prefer if you believe the sale could fall through due to the Royal Mails prices please don't ask for the parts to be reserved as other individuals could miss out on a good deal.
Finally, if someone comes and knocks on my door and offers cash they will get priority on any parts. I don't mean to be awkward but this will save me a lot of grief in wrapping and doing the post office run.

Just get cracking mate, get the bits off, stripped, in the garage and shell gone. The parts will fly out over the summer. Cash in the bank is better than sitting in a car.

Thats how me and Ben went about it, its the only way.

Not bad but there is some sagging on the driver side where the cardboard has bent out of shape

Hi,

Upto £2490. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I am breaking the car.

Starting tomorrow I'll be getting the tools out. It'll be a sad day......

Bit the bullet this morning, got up at 7:30 made a cuppa and headed outside to start breaking.

I was going to post some pictures of progress and parts but the 'Manage attachment' tab isn't working for me.

The car is up on axle stands. The engine/gearbox will be dropped out tomorrow and is the last major task before I start shipping parts.

As I said in my first post I preferred pick up as I know I'm not the quickest person at sorting packaging / dispatching items. I am however going to spend sunday packing stuff ready to be weighed for postage prices.

If the people interested in my parts could bear with me for another 5-7days before I ask for payment it'd be helpful.

Thanks
Dan

Update,

The car is fully stripped of parts. The only items still on the car worth saving is a blue pearlescent turbo bonnet and a perfectly good pair of black delocked doors. The doors are rust free with only 1 small parking ding in the passenger side with central locking/electric windows/mirrors.

They will more than likely go to the scrapheap in the sky if noone comes to get them.

I will begin to pm individuals for payments and will start sending the parts out as the money clears.

I can take pictures of any items to help you decide if your tempted. I'm surprised noone has enquired about the wilwoods...

Regards
Dan
