Default mtx-75 gearbox modified to fit CVH/zetec sliver top - open to offers!

I have for sale a late focus 2ltr petrol gearbox that i have built to fit a CVH or zetec silver top so that it cvan be fitted into a fiesta RS or escort RS turbo.

The box was from a low millage 2 ltr petrol focus so has the cable shift not the linkage shift so is alot easier to fit than having to mod the linkage to fit. I have also fitted the bell housing and diff trigger wheel off the focus TDCi box so that it retains the lower mounted front starter motor position and also the CVH / silver top zetec bell housing bolt patten (the petrol mtx-75 focus boxes are completely diff the bottom half of the bell housing)

it is complete with the gear selector and also release bearing (hydrolic for lighter pedal feel - easy mod to perform on car)

can also include FOC if required 6 shims i had made up to be pressed into my mtx-75 fywheel so that it would fit to the cvh crank as the mtx flywheel to crank bolts are slightly larger so the flywheel would not sit right and would rattle.

Am after around the £75 ovno mark for the box which is a steal, look for an mtx-75 box on ebay , as i could do with clearing some of the stuff out of my shed and my mates garage and shed so it has to go! plus im fitting a genuine RS box to a black top so is of no use to me apart from an expensive paper weight.

Also found a couple of mounts and also a two piece drive shaft which will come with the item (solid shaft and drive shaft) but are not shown in pics. Will also throw in a spare clutch reliease cylinder and also a spare gear selector box.

here are the pics

Bell housing is silver because it was cleaned an painted to go onto my focus RS box but have changed it back as i have now as i am using the black to so sump fitment is different to the silver top / cvh

hi mate, is this a direct fitment into a mk4 escort running a efi lump? what advantages does it have over a standard jobby?

not a direct fitment, you will need the kit that jano at oddkidd sells.

alot better box, stronger for a start and also gives a better gear ratio set over the BC box.

plus this is a fit and forget option for higher powered cars as the BC boxes are inherently weak and dont live long in even moderate speced cars unless you go for one thats aroud the 1k mark from CTS

I had one fitted in my car for about 5 years abused as much as i could and it never let me down once. I had the 3 piece setup off jano and no lsd but worked better than my std ERST LSD box on track and road.

I make him right.

Took him ages to sort out the conversion to fit the MTX75 to an ERST over 8 years ago now. So why would he just supply bits to anyone, for them to do the work and copy him? like most of his other parts he designed and made. From triggers to conversion plates to management systems. + Loads more that he dont post up on websites for numptys to copy.

+ If you bought one of the kits fitted it wrong and then blammed his parts im sure he wouldnt be best pleased. For this reason only he will offer fitting the box to your engine bay. He fitted mine and the parts are still as good as they were the day i bought them off him. Now X amount of years later my parts are worth exactly the same money and if i wanted to sell them im sure i would have a whole page full of PM's asking to buy the gearbox conversion.

Anyways have fun
Danny.

but then the person you sell it to could copy the mounts etc!!!!lol

Alot of people would rather do work on their own car rather than pay someone else to fit it!
