Default Big Spec Engine - What's it Worth Thread

After some hard made decisions this week including somethings that impact my health (don't worry I'm not dying, well at least not any quicker than usual)
I think it's come time to break my 3 Door as it worth quite a few bob in bits.

The engine is currently having a complete rebuild and will be brand new when finished, I'd like a rough idea of value for the engine then if there's any interest go about stripping and breaking the whole car.

So let me know what you reckon price wise

Oh and please don't start pm'ing me asking for any bits yet as the engine would have to go first and then I'd do a proper advert with everything on.

Engine Spec as follows it will come brand new with Zero Miles on it:

CGI 200 Ex-WRC Block (requires remote oil thermostat and cooler)
10 Long Studs (will come with modified water pump)
Wet Ductile Iron Liners
JE Short Skirt Pistons 92mm 8.5 C/R
ZRP I-Beam Long 133.5mm Con Rods
ZRP Billet Steel Crank with 84mm Stroke giving 2240cc
All ARP bolts
Oil Spray Jets
High Pressure and Flow Oil Pump
Wide Wing Sump with a Blue Sprint Sump Baffle
Big Ported Head 27mm Inlet 27mm Exhaust
Head has had a full strip down fitted with new seats, new guides and new seals, looks brand new
Super High lift Inlet cam (Bigger than a BD16+) Cam machined for WRC Cam Trigger
Standard Exhaust Cam
Will come with Cam cover and associated cam trigger brackets

Can also come with following:

Hart Inlet Manifold with 3" DWB Throttle Body
ID1000cc Injectors and Billet Fuel Rail and Aeromotive FPR
Twin 044 Pump System with Under Car Swirl Pot all braided lines
Nortech Twin Scroll Manifold
Tial 44mm External Wastegate
Borg Warner 7670EFR Turbo 1.05 Exhaust Housing
100mm Airtec Intercooler
Full 4 Port Breather System with -10 Braided Lines
Remote Oil Filter, Remote Oil Thermostat and Oil Cooler system fitted with -10 Braided Lines
Exhaust System 4” Downpipe into 3.5” for the rest all Stainless Steel with V-Band Clamps
New Independent Wastegate Silenced Exhaust system centre under car exit.
EMU ECU with wiring harness (all low down mapping done upto 1 bar will need another couple of hours on the dyno)

This engine will easily make 600+ bhp figures and if used with the BW turbo an absolute low down torque animal too.

So there you go let me know what you think?

Cheers Rich

I don't think you would have much need for the engine if you go with both kidneys....better off with 1 kidney and a lung.

Sonic, do you want to pm me a ROUGH price for the first part of the post, less the turbo and manifold and ecu and inlet side so I have an idea if it is in my ball park or not. That is if you would consider doing it that way.

Sorry to hear about the health problems.

It's uber rare only made for the works wrc team I'm lead to believe.
You can tell a CGI as the block is all mottled on the machined surfaces (you can see the carbon graphite impregnated into the block)
It hasn't got the oil filter machined into the block just has a take off front and rear for -10 oil pipes.

Being honest I am very surprised to see you are using a ZRP crank. I've had one customer with one of those twist albeit not a yb one.

It's a serious spec engine but the Chinese bits are a bit of a put off for me so make it hard to price

I've heard nothing but good things about ZRP from two independent engine builders, you'll find all cranks are made in China now lol

Sorry to see you breaking it Rich

I wouldn't have a clue what the engine is worth but shortly you know what you have paid for the new parts you could add it all up together 👍👍👍👍
