Default BorgWarner 8374 t4 twinscroll ex/G

I've made the move to a different EFR so my twin scroll Ex/G T4 EFR 8374 is up for grabs....

The car did no more than 2k of road miles with this unit on and is a fantastic turbo!!

This is it as it is now.. Very good condition Looking for £1200

It flows 74lb/air a minute so 740hp...

This has not been seen yet on pump fuel I think race fuel has only come close

On my engine it made 615hp and 552ftlb

Liam don't wanna spam but I am interested, just curious why it only made that as we're guessing my turbos making that on 7670.... I am tempted to go to this turbo so just curious as Mark shead has mapped a few evos on these and made more power?

Wow, 9180... 850+ bhp? Nice!!!

Adamski you got the 7670? I'm going for the same one!
Any other specs from your engine please? What power did it make? Internal of external gated?

Cheers mates

I had a few restricting factors on my car...main one being a very restrictive downpipe that pretty much folded round on itself soon as it came off the turbo! Results have shown a better swept downpipe can free up 30-40 hp!

Also my car was dyno'd on a very hot day when it made this so it could of Infact been a little more!

Standard size valves... could of had bigger cams, we also maxed the 1000's out
Small runner manifold as twinscroll works well with this but now seeing big runners making good results too freeing up a bit more power!

I'm going for the 9180 as I'm now on a 2.3 so should hopefully compensate for the bigger turbo and hopefully hit around 700hp on relatively low boost.

A friend has just made 830hp at 2.5 on his!

OK cool thanks for the feedback I am interested just don't have that sorta cash atm :-(.... But we feel bw have over calculated with there flow rates I'm yet to see one produce what they claim the top end they can flow they're normally about 30-40hp out .... I feel if I can run the bigger turbo under less pressure and same power it'll be better... They are great turbos...

Maybe your right, it's a shame as all the others have made the estimated power I believe! It's the dark horse out the bunch!

If I wasn't so impatient I would of done another power run on a cooler day this time round with the new mods but the 9180 is on lol

There a great turbo even on a 2 ltr, if your only going for that power I'd stick with the 7670 but you could still run this at lower boost!

I'm lowering the price to £950 to sell.....

I'm not aiming for that power, it's just.. i can't afford another ecu + loom + extra's now to go over the maximum that the original P8 can do..

And, i did not buy the 7670 yet so all options are open

Next year i hope to go 600+ so this turbo should be good for it.. But i was curious if it would run good on lower boost (respons, lag,..)

What housing did you ran on? 1.05?

I'm sure the turbo would run fine at lower boost!

Yes 1.05.. I would of kept this turbo if borgwarner would pull there finger out and release this 1.45 housing!!

1.45 is pretty big but if it's running out of puff on the 1.05 it's what you need
