Should be fine they fit on Fiesta's and Escorts all tho I'm sure you need to add a little spacer to get the caliper/carrier on

Nope,
The hub holes need drilling out to iirc 10mm and thats it there a perfect fit then.

The Mondeo caliper is a straight fit after drilling the holes to 12mm

i want the definitive answer to this aswell, but ive read shitloads of threads on big brake conversions and everytime someone asks about the st170 calipers, people always just reply with "use mk3 mondeo ones" and it fucking breaks me! ive got chance to get some st170 brakes cheap and want to know about them, didnt ask about fucking mondeo calipers did i?!

rant over

Everyone one uses the mondeo ones as there a lot cheaper and they bolt straight on without any mods

Mondeo and st caiplers are the same fitment just takes different pads and the mondeo ones are cheaper but the st pistons are bigger and you have a load more pad choices.

Fitting there both the same,
X2 caiplers
X1 set of pads to match caiplers
X2 focus st170 discs
X1 drill bit

Takes five mins to do just take the old setup off leaving you brake lines there and drill the holes out )(very easy) then fit the st170 disc and the fit the caipler carriers then fit the pads then connect your stock brake lines to the new caiplers and hen fit them and enjoy.

ive read that the st170 calipers need grinding and potentially spacers depending on the wheels being used, are they definitely the same size as the mk3 caliper externally then? and no need for grinding? if so, im off to get these st170 calipers!

If anything I would same the st caiplers are smaller than the mondeo ones as the st carrier is tucked under the sides of the caiplers where the mondeo ones stick out.
I didnt grind at all on St170 caiplers and ive had a wide range of after market wheels fit over them without any trouble.

15s i presume? im still on the 9 spoke millenium alloys and dont want to go with aftermarket alloys, or spacers in an ideal world. theres an st170 in a scrappy near my and the calipers pads and discs seem in good nick, so might be worth a punt for the price he wants.

Ok i have standard ford puma aluminium wheel

http://www.mondeospares.co.uk/ekmps/...001-1567-p.jpg

So is any problem if i put Mondeo Mk3 Calipers & Carriers,
Mondeo Mk3 Brake Pads,Focus ST170 300mm Discs?? Is this alu wheel ok for this Discs? So am shure that other ppl want this answer! MK3 or ST170 calipers for standard puma wheel...

And important question what about ABS? Working or not corect???

Definite answer...

If your using standard ford alloy wheels the caliper will need grinding back to allow the 15" wheel to fit over the 300mm brake conversion, to fit the 300's you need mk3 mondeo caliper and st170 discs, drill the carrier holes out in the hub to 13mm.

For the rears the st170 or fiesta st rear setups bolt straight on the to standard puma rear beam.

ABS is no problem as the trigger wheels are mounted to the hubs and it only works of the front brakes anyway.

I've got a 300mm conversion up front and fiesta ST rear conversion and its simply awesome!
