Rear axle shims?
I read on a thead earlier about shims on rear axle but cant find it again would it be wheel spacers to widen the track on rear or axle geometry?

I think you mean geometry correction shims. Mike rainbird does toe shims which give a small amount of toe in on the rear, these help with tyre wear and give them rear a more centered feel. Either them or these camber shims that are floating about, the just change the rear camber to correct for lowering springs etc. The only way to do it properly though is a six degree rear beam, although you are talking a good amount of money.
