Ford racing puma box fit my 1.6 focus???

The box is on the way out on my focus, and rather than repair it I know a friend with a cheap FRP box. Does anyone know if it'll fit my 1.6 '02 focus, and will the shifter cables and position be able to stay the same?

dont think so as the puma changes with rods & the focus is cable operated so not a straight swap

not to forget the ratios will likely be completely different.

On a focus gearbox the gear linkages are on the front of the box inside a black casing. If the racing puma's gearbox the same as a normal puma the gear selector is at the back of the box.
