As per title are the gear linkages the same from the 1.4 and 1.7 pumas as there is a 1.4 in my local breakers and i want to do the the puma gear linkage conversion om my mk4 escort, also how are the gear linkages held into the puma, so i know what tools to take with me ?

I would have thought so, all puma's use the IB5. Its rods, rather than cables

cheers guys thats what I wanted to hear as the puma is in one of the cheaper local breakers who i get on with so should cost to much

how are they held to the car at the gearstick end nut and bolt or stupid rivets or the like ?
